Why I made this game
Your work is done, but your manager is still at his desk. A coworker looks like he's about to say “Hey, got a sec?” A lot of us have missed leaving on time for reasons like that. Sneak Out at Five started from the idea of turning that awkward “I can't just leave” feeling into a stealth game where you move while nobody's looking, so we can all laugh about it.
It takes the classic stealth game ideas, like cones of vision, “!” and “?”, and hiding in a cardboard box, and gives them an office twist: you disguise yourself as a pile of papers, and a throat-clearing “Ahem” warns you the boss is about to look up. Each round lasts 1–2 minutes, so you can play right away in your phone's browser on the train home or during a short break.
About the game's content
This game is fiction. The company, characters and lines in it are made up and have nothing to do with any real company or person. When it comes to actually leaving work, please follow your workplace's rules.
